The Propulsion & Powerplant function deals with studying various forms of propulsions and pyrotechnic techniques, including emission analysis. For Fanny Guiot, a dynamic systems engineer at Airbus Helicopters, it means designing, developing, and supporting the gearboxes and transmission shafts of helicopters. Roles within this function work in close collaboration with other teams, like production, test laboratories and flight test lines in order to reach a high level of performance and reliability. “The reward of my job is making a helicopter fly,” says Fanny. “It’s a real adventure.”
